Heads and Torsos! Oh My!

Greetings Monster Maniacs!

The word from the laboratory is that Graham Nolan has finished drawing all headshots and is closing in on finishing the torsos. It’s bloody work, but he is delighted to do it. Just look at these impressive pieces Graham has done so far!

We are frantically working on proofing of the Black Book: The Art of Graham Nolan, so we can get it into your furry little paws.

Maniacs! The pitchforks are sharpened and the torches are lit! By that, we mean that Monster Island 20th Anniversary Edition and Black Book: the Art of Graham Nolan are nearly ready to be printed! Once every last detail is finalized in the next few days, your rewards will be sent off to our capable printer and a pristine finished product will be shipped back to our offices in Buffalo. Barring any complications in the printing process, we expect to begin fulfillment within the next two months!

That being said, your BackerKit surveys will be heading out soon! Remember, once you get your survey, it is crucial that you fill it out so that our fulfillment team can take the necessary steps to get you all of your monstrous rewards. For those of you who pledged for sketches, Graham will be emailing you directly about them, so be on the lookout! We’ll post another update when surveys have been sent out.

As a reminder, once Backerkit surveys are answered and locked in, shipping for your rewards will be charged!

Here’s a preview of some of the awesomeness you can expect to start getting in the mail soon!

MONSTERS and humor have gone hand in hand since the early days of cinema, just think Abbott and Costello meet – you name the monster!

Who better to illustrate this idea than Tom Richmond? Tom’s illustrative credits include Married... with Children for NOW Comics, and the mini-series The Coneheads for Marvel Comics, but he is most famously known for his stellar work at MAD Magazine!

Mac and Duke are presented with a creature so hideous his very sight will make you violently ill or make you laugh so hard you won’t be able to escape his grasp!

KELLEY JONES is no stranger to MONSTERS! His stylistic approach is both haunting and alluring at the same time. A few of his many credits include DC Comics’s Batman & Dracula: Red Rain, Vertigo’s Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, Dark Horse Zombieworld: Eat Your Heart Out and Conan: The Book Of Thoth.

Kelley has provided us with a monster so intense that there are no words to describe this UNSPEAKABLE HORROR! Look in terror as two helpless humans gaze upon certain death! Even as the creature faces a similar fate!
